Domestic Shipping Policy
NIC Hobbies offers free shipping USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground to the lower 48 United States for orders totaling $75 or more. Packages of 2-3 pounds or more will usually ship UPS Ground.
Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and US Territories is free for orders totaling $75 or more and weighing 2 pounds or less. Orders of $75 or more weighing more than 2 pounds will be invoiced for any additional shipping above the 2-pound free allotment. Orders will ship USPS Priority or First Class Mail to these locations.
Domestic Shipping Options
USPS Express Mail – Orders received by 4:00 PM Eastern Time will ship the same day and arrive the next day to most locations, two days to more remote locations. Express Mail provides tracking, proof of delivery and offers a money back guarantee. Also includes $100 of insurance. Sunday and holiday delivery available to many locations at a small additional charge.
USPS Priority Mail – Order usually ships within 1 business day; normal transit time is 2-3 days to most locations. Delivery confirmation provided. Insurance may be purchased at additional charge.
USPS First Class Mail – Order usually ships within 1 business day; normal transit time is 2-5 days. First Class Mail is available for packages weighing up to 13 ounces and now provides delivery confirmation for small packages.
UPS Ground – Order usually ships within 1 business day; normal transit time is 1-5 business days.
UPS 3 Day Select - Orders received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time M-F will ship the same day and arrive by the end of 3rd business day.
UPS 2nd Day Air - Orders received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time M-F will ship the same day and arrive by the end of the 2nd business day.
UPS Next Day Air - Orders received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time M-F will ship the same day and arrive by the end of the next business day.
UPS Next Day Air Early A.M. - Orders received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time M-F will ship the same day and arrive by 10:00 AM the next business day.
All UPS shipments are provided with a tracking number and $100 of insurance. Additional insurance may be purchased.
UPS shipping services are available to the lower 48 United States only. Residents of Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO and U.S. Territories please choose the USPS shipping options.
International Shipping Policy
NIC Hobbies has extensive experience with international shipping and we ship regularly to locations around the world. For customers, being familiar with your country’s customs regulations and procedures is the best way to insure that your transaction is completed successfully.
Customs taxes and fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please make sure you are familiar with any taxes and fees that your government imposes on imported goods. NIC Hobbies is not responsible for any fees or taxes imposed by the customer’s government.
Please make sure you are familiar with the proper persons to contact at your local post office and customs office in case you need to retrieve or search for a package. Occasionally packages are delayed for some reason by the local post / customs offices. Being familiar with how to contact them and providing them with the proper information will be of great help if you need to search for a delayed package. We recommend using one of the international shipping options that provide a tracking number to help in any search and reduce the chance of problems. NIC Hobbies is not responsible for delays caused by the receiving country’s post or customs offices.
International Shipping Options
USPS Express Mail International – Estimated delivery time is 5-7 days. Express International provides a tracking number and $100 of insurance. Additional insurance may be purchased.
USPS Priority Mail International – Estimated delivery time is 6-10 days. Priority International provides a tracking number and limited indemnity. Insurance is available at additional charge.
USPS First Class Mail International – Delivery time varies, but averages 7-11 days. First Class Mail International does not provide tracking.
Return Policy
At NIC Hobbies we take the utmost care inspecting, packaging and shipping your order, but occasionally problems can occur involving damaged/defective merchandise and incorrect items shipped. Please read our return policy carefully to insure that your problem is taken care of quickly and efficiently.
Please inspect your merchandise upon receipt and notify NIC Hobbies of any damage or defect within 5 days of receipt. We will advise you how to proceed, depending on the issue.
Manufacturer defects: This includes merchandise that is inoperative from the start or becomes inoperative after short-term normal use and is under manufacturer warranty. Warranty issues are handled directly by the manufacturers; we will provide contact information and direction to have your problem resolved. Please retain your invoice from NIC Hobbies in case it is requested.
Warranty does not apply to merchandise that has been damaged, misused or modified in any way. The merchandise must be new from the box with short-term use when failure occurs.
Incorrectly shipped or damaged in transit: NIC Hobbies must be notified within 5 days of receipt of any items incorrectly shipped or damaged in transit. We will issue an RMA # and UPS call tag for the return. The items must be unused in original packaging and must be properly packed to prevent shipping damage.
Any merchandise returned to NIC Hobbies must have an RMA #. To obtain an RMA # please email us at sales@nichobbies.com or call at 904-819-9011. Merchandise returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Minor flaws in car appearance and paint finish: Please understand that most slot cars are mass-produced with the intent of being raced in a high-speed environment. With the exception of high-end models, minor imperfections in paint finishes and car appearance are not uncommon. These minor flaws do not qualify as defects and are not acceptable for return. If you are a collector, please notify us when you place your order and we will inspect for any minor flaws and ship the best sample we find. In the event that a suitable sample is not available, we will notify you.
Flaws in Packaging: Flaws in product packaging do not qualify for return. We will make every attempt to send the best samples available, but please understand the primary intent of product packaging is to protect the merchandise; scratches and wear marks on the plastic display cases are not uncommon and come to us this way from the distributors. Again, if you are a collector please let us know when you place your order and we will inform you if a suitable sample is available.
All other returns: For returns other than defect/damage or incorrect item there will be a 10% restocking fee. Merchandise must be unused in original packaging and in resalable condition. Customer pays return shipping and refund will be issued upon receipt and inspection of merchandise.
Please request an RMA # before returning any merchandise.
